Mindfulness for Life (referred to as MBCT-L)
MBCT-L is a course designed to cultivate mindful awareness of our body, emotions and mind so that we can live our lives with a greater sense of wellbeing, kindness and resilience. It is an evidence-based course, developed in the light of research at Oxford University and other leading research centres.
It has two main intentions:

to offer you some skills to meet life’s challenges and difficulties, both internal and external

to develop more awareness and appreciation of the pleasant moments in life that we can often overlook
Learning Objectives
On MBCT-L course you will develop the following skills:

How to stabilize your attention and bring it back to where you want it to be, even when experiencing mind wandering or autopilot mode, with interest, patience, and care.

Understanding the difference between experiencing directly and thinking, and how the mind creates meaning.

Recognizing patterns of reactivity and understanding how attempts to alleviate distress can perpetuate a cycle of stuckness.

Cultivating a sense of care and kindness towards oneself during moments of distress and reactivity.

Using mindfulness to respond skillfully rather than react impulsively, promoting well-being for oneself and others.

Learning to step back from direct experiences to gain clarity and choose kinder responses.
